Donald F. "Frenchy" French, 75, of Varna, formerly of Gridley passed away at his home on Monday, January 18, 2016.
Donald was born November 9, 1940, the son of George F. French and Evelyn Slotman. He married Jacqueline M. Kujawa on September 8, 1962 in Chicago. She survives.
Also surviving are: two sons, Donald F. French II of Lostant, and Steven A. French of Varna; two daughters, Donna M. Butikofer of Normal, and Dana M. Wilson of Varna; seven granddaughters; 4 grandsons; 7 great-granddaughters; and 5 great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Donald worked for Caterpillar for 30 years before retiring.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Donald served as Steward, Chief Steward, and Committeeman for UAW #974. He was Past Master of the El Paso Masonic Lodge and a 32nd degree of the Valley of Bloomington Scottish Rite.
Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation in Donald's honor from 1:00-6:00pm with a memorial service at 1:30pm held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
