Dianne M. Johnson, 63 of Chillicothe passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at her home. Born September 21, 1954 in Norfolk, VA the daughter of Jerry G. and Verna L. (Dobbelaire) Gibson. She married Daniel O. Johnson on November 18, 1978 in Chillicothe, IL. Surviving are her husband Daniel, her children: Monica (Drew) Sibbing of San Antonio, TX and Caleb Johnson of Dunlap, grandchildren: Jacob, Tabitha, Madeline, and Caden, and her mother Verna Gibson of Chillicothe. Also surviving is her sister Pamela Dace of Phoenix, AZ, one nephew, and two nieces. She is preceded in death by her son Nathan, her father, one sister, and one nephew. Dianne graduated from Illinois Valley Central in 1972. She was an accomplished seamstress, co-owner and designer at the Red Bonnet Boutique in Chillicothe, and enjoyed collecting antiques to sell. She enjoyed reading, gardening, music, collecting jewelry, Yahtzee, and rescuing cats. Dianne was a charter member of Pearce Community Center and a member of the Red Hat Society. She had a delightful sense of humor and a beautiful smile. Nothing meant more to her than her family. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 5-7:00pm at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery.
