Dennis Blagden

Dennis Ray Blagden, age 65, of Canton, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at UnityPoint Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. He was born to the late Harold and Betty (Tracey) Blagden on March 7, 1952 in Avon. He married Judy Ann Rose in Galesburg in 1974. Dennis is survived by his wife Judy of Canton; daughters, Amy Blagden-Purtle, Susan (Jerry) Coulter, and Julie (Jeremy) Cummins, all of Canton; five grandchildren; sister, Alice (Delbert) Rogers of Florida; brother, Alvin (Connie) Blagden of Canton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. After graduating from Bushnell-Prairie City High School, Dennis attended Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg. He joined the Army Reserves and then worked as a Die Cutter at Winpak in Pekin. Dennis enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and working outdoors. A private Celebration of Life for Dennis will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM.
