Denardo Williams

Denardo "Roni" Lunzell Williams, Jr., age 17, of Peoria, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Roni was born on January 22, 2001 in Peoria to Denardo L. Williams, Sr. and Rochelle Criss. Surviving are his parents, Denardo L. Williams, Sr. of Houston, TX and Rochelle (Denny Worley) Criss of Jonesboro, AR; three brothers, Rashad M. Williams of Peoria, IL, Ryu Winters of Peoria, IL, R'veon Criss of Peoria, IL; three sisters, Denaryka L. Williams of Peoria, IL, Denija R. Williams of Atlanta, GA, and R'niya Criss of Peoria, IL; his maternal grandparents, Brenda Martin, Robert (Tina) Criss and Ricky Ross; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Taylor, all of Peoria; his aunt, Zelena Winters, with whom he made his home; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Roni was a senior at Peoria Central High School.  He played football and liked working out.  Roni was always the "star of the show" and wanted to pursue acting after high school. Services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11am at the City of Refuge Church in Peoria.  The wake will be held from 9am to 11am also at the church.  Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.  Arrangements were handled through Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home.
