Deborah J. Moore

Deborah Jean Moore, age 69, of Troy, IL, formerly of the Peoria area, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 at the home of her niece and nephew, where she lived her final days.

Deborah was born on April 12, 1954 in Peoria, IL to the late Ernest Ray and Sarah Louise (Cox) Donoho.

Surviving are her son, Kevin Moore of Ballwin, MO; her twin sister, Denetta Donoho of Peoria, IL; her brother, Michael (Susan) Donoho I of Chillicothe, IL; her nieces and nephews, Joyle (James) Goeken of Troy, IL, Melinda (Aaron) Daum   of Chillicothe, IL and Michael (Dawn) Donoho II of Rockport, IN; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Deborah graduated from Woodruff High School in 1972.  She was an avid scrapbooker and made the most beautiful handmade cards.  Crocheting was another hobby.  She learned to make hats, afghans and baskets.  She also made sure she made each family member her famous “Scrubbie.”  Her favorite hobby though, was spending time with her son, Kevin, and family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11am at Chillicothe City Cemetery.  Rev. Bob Hentrich will officiate.  Memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society or Barnes Jewish Christian Hospice.  Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
