David Harlow

October 30, 1932 — September 12, 2015

David D. Harlow, 82, of Chillicothe died at home Saturday, September 12, 2015.

He was born October 30, 1932 in Mt. Vernon IL. to Art and Viola (Duvall)
Harlow. He married Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Stahlheber on June 1, 1954. They were married 52 years.
She preceded him in death along with one son David L. Harlow. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Surviving are: two daughters, Debbra (Stanley) Taylor, and Denise (Brent)
Ackerman both of Chillicothe; one son, Daniel (Monica) Harlow of High Point,
NC; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren

David served in the Korean War and retired after 24 years from the National
Guard as a Captain.
He was past post Commander of the VFW post 4999. He also served as head of the Honor Guard and was bingo chairman for several years. He was a past president and lifetime member of the Peoria Casting Club. He was a longtime member of Allendale Conservation Club. He enjoyed fishing and golf.
He was a loving father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

Cremation rites were accorded.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 3, 2015 also at
Weber-Hurd Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Chillicothe City cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the VFW post 4999.
