Dale Hofmann

Dale Henry Hofmann, age 68, of Dunlap, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Dale was born on May 25, 1953 in Peoria, Illinois to Herbert N. and Ellen M. (Maynard) Hofmann.

Dale was a “Jack-of-all-trades.”  He had worked many jobs over the years, including ISCO for 16 years and recently for O’Reilly’s Auto Parts in Chillicothe for 6 years.  Dale had a love for carpentry and old vehicles, especially his 1949 Ford Pick-up Truck.

Surviving are his significant other of 20 years, Diane Rupp; his stepdaughters, Kathleen (Dewayne) Jones of Chillicothe, IL and Tracy (Greg) Hufford of Quincy, IL; his step-grandchildren, Shelby and Morgan Jones; his siblings, Carolyn Grawey of Peoria, IL, Charles (Brenda) Hofmann of Chillicothe, IL, John (Liz Evans) Gregory of Brooklyn Park, IL, Karen (Roger) Carter of Marquette Heights, IL, Lori (Troy) Krause of Mapleton, IL, Jim (DeeDee) Gregory of Chillicothe, IL, Lynn Konopka of Loves Park, IL, E. Lee (Becky) Hofmann of Peoria, IL and Joseph (Mary) Hofmann of Canton, GA; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant brother, Herbert Hofmann, Jr.; his twin brother, Donald Hofmann; and his sister, Kathy Raichart.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 1pm at Chillicothe City Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to The A.R.K in Lacon.  Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
