Charles A. Burchett, 74, of Chillicothe passed away at his home on Sunday morning at 5:45 am.
He was born on February 27, 1941 in Peoria the son of Andrew J. and Viola M. (Nash) Burchett.
Chuck attended Woodruff High School in Peoria. He married Marilyn K. Hassler at the First United Methodist Church in Peoria on March 20, 1965. He worked for 47 years at the Bemis Bag Company in Peoria. He was a member of the United Paper Workers Union in Peoria. He also worked at Hook and Worm in Peoria for many years.
He enjoyed the outdoors, he like to hunt and fish, and loved his animals. He was a lifelong member of the Peoria Casting Club where he participated in many of their functions and a past member of the Chillicothe Sportsman's Club.
Chuck is survived by his wife Marilyn of Chillicothe and a son, Charles Andrew (Paula Schnieder) Burchett, Jr. of Peoria.
Chuck's wishes was to be cremated. Since he loved the outdoors, a graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Chillicothe City Cemetery in Chillicothe. Rev. Ron Martz will officiate. Memorial contributions in memory of Charles may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
