Carol Travis

Carol L. Travis, age 79, of Chillicothe, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Lacon Rehab after a long illness.

Carol was born on June 14, 1942 in Chillicothe to Ross and Geraldine (Donath) Thompson.

Surviving are her husband, Richard Travis; her sons, Scott (Debbie) Buennemeyer and Greg (Kris) Buennemeyer; two step-sons, Donald and Gary Travis; her granddaughter, Danielle; four step-grandchildren, Tess, Janelle, Haley and Aaron; two brothers, Jim (Joann) Thompson and Richard (Pamela) Thompson; and her sister, Mary Ann (Fernando) Ordaz.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carol enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and her faithful companion, her dog, Ruby.  She was a long time member of the Mossville United Methodist Church.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Chillicothe City Cemetery.  The family will gather at 1pm at the cemetery and the graveside will begin at 1:30pm with Rev.
