Brian Johnson

Brian S. Johnson, 36, of Chillicothe passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018 at his home. Brian was born on April 16, 1982 in Portsmouth, VA, the son of Gregory and Kimberly (Branch) Johnson. Brian married Lindsey K. Hastings on July 17, 2010 in Peoria. She survives along with their two children, Ethne, age 4 and Elliot, age 1. Also surviving are his brother Matthew (Angelina) Johnson, his three sisters Adrianne (Christopher) Schachtrup, Ashley Johnson and Brianna Johnson, his parents Gregory and Kimberly Johnson, his grandfather Clair Branch, his grandmother Joan Johnson and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Cecile Branch and Kenneth Johnson. Brian was an Eagle Scout and a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for which he served a two-year mission in Curitiba, Brazil. Brian worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 8 years as a Quality Inspector. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8 from 5:30-7:00 pm at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 9 at 2:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Peoria. Burial will be held at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mark Linder Walk for the Mind or the Peoria Bach Festival. He lived for Bach.
