Bob Yager

Bob L. Yager, 88, of Chillicothe passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at his home in Chillicothe. Bob was born on November 25, 1928 the son of Edward Lindermyer and Marquarite Yager. He is survived by one daughter, Celeste Pollack of Chillicothe; two sons, Layne (Susan) Yager of Port Charlotte, FL and Michael (Jane Hader) Sheets of Waunakee, WI; one brother, Jeremy Lindermyer of Prophetstown; one half-sister, Janet Marowski of Chicago; fourteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister, and one daughter. Bob worked as a surveyor for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of the Chillicothe Ranger Saddle Club, 4H, VFW, American Legion, Blue Ridge Dartball Team, and was a past president of the Peoria Casting Club. Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation with the family at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017. A private graveside will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chillicothe Veterans' Memorial, Lacon ARK, or the American Legion #9 in Chillicothe.
