Belle Garcia

Belle Garcia, 84, of Chillicothe passed away at 6:40 pm on April 23, 2017 at UnityPoint Proctor Hospital in Peoria. Belle was born on August 9, 1932 in Chillicothe the daughter of Nicolas and Eleuteria (Razo) Ramos. She married Tony Garcia on July 9, 1960 in Peoria. Surviving is his daughter, Angela H. Smith of Chillicothe; four grandchildren: Ryan, Natasha, Amanda, and Leterra; six great grandchildren: Mason, Tianna, Victoria, Gabriella, Jayden and Lailena; sister, Adela Cabrera of Chillicothe; and a brother, Tony (Alicia) Ramos of Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tony, daughter Elena and five siblings. Belle worked at Caterpillar for many years with Canteen Corporation. Belle was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe. She liked her flowers and working in the garden. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Relatives and friends are invited to St. Edward Catholic Church on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:00 am for a Funeral Mass for Belle. Fr. Keith Walder will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time at the church. Burial will take place following the mass at Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Edward Catholic Church.
