Barbara Parker

Barbara J. Parker, 86, of Chillicothe passed away in Lacon at St. Joseph Nursing Home on Friday, November 17, 2017. Barbara was born on July 24, 1931 in Peoria the daughter of Raymond M. and Edna M. (Hewitt) Schoch. She married William E. Parker on December 22, 1948 in Peoria. Family members surviving are: her husband, William of Chillicothe; daughter, Carol (Yale) Martin of Indianapolis, IN; son, Kenneth (Rosie) Parker of Normal; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and a daughter-in-law, Deirdre Parker of Dunlap. She is preceded in death by her parents and by two sons, Richard and Duane. Barbara was a house wife raising three children in Chillicothe while her husband worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company in the Engineering Department. She was the Past President of Peoria Academy of Science and the Past President of Geology Section of Peoria Academy of Science.
