Alta Coffey

Alta D. Coffey, 73, of Metamora passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at her home. Alta was born on October 5, 1944 in Milan, MO. to Alge and Mary (Watson) Fanning. She married James W. Coffey on December 24, 2005 in Lacon. She is survived by her husband, James W. Coffey of Metamora; a son, Steven Pilcher of Pekin; a granddaughter, Katlin Pilcher of Morton; a sister Linda Young of Milan, MO; and a brother John Fanning of Lewiston. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Alta work for many years in housekeeping for various nursing homes in the area. Alta's wishes was to be cremated. A graveside service will be held at a later date this summer. Memorials may be made in her name to the American heart Association at 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674; National Kidney Foundation of Illinois at 201 SW Jefferson Ave., Peoria IL 61602; or to American Diabetes Association at 2501 Chatham Rd, Springfield, IL 62704.
