Timothy Murphy

Timothy P. Murphy, age 65, of Chillicothe, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at OSF Richard L Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

Tim was born on January 15, 1956 in Peoria, IL to Jack and Jeanine (Harney) Murphy.  He married Diane M. Wilkins on February 28, 1975 in Sparland.  She preceded him in death in August of 2020.  Also preceding him in death are his parents.

Surviving are his children, Adam (Rachel) Murphy of Griffin, GA, Katelyn (Justin) Schoch of Chillicothe, IL and Amy Robinson of Gilbert, AZ; his grandchildren, Noah, Leah, Ally, Carly, Owen, Murphy and Ella; his sister, Tammy (Mike) Stumbaugh of Sparland, IL and Mike Murphy.

Tim was a brakeman and conductor for the Santa Fe Railroad until he retired.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a private family burial of ashes will be held at Chillicothe City Cemetery.  Memorials may be made in Tim’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.  Online condolences may be made through www.weberhurdfuneralhome.com
