Sandra Pruett

Sandra Lee Pruett, age 78, of Chillicothe passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.

She was born November 16, 1942 in Chillicothe, IL to Joseph and Dortha (Kissel) Placher.  She married Russell Pruett on December 20, 1975 in Sparland, IL.

She is survived by her husband Russell, one son; Timothy Pruett, three daughters; Monica Carlson, Sheri (Ray) Price, Tina (Rich) Pruett, eight grandchildren; Amanda (Roger) Bennett, Jr., Samantha (Les) Allen, Katie (Richmon) Bloomgren, Jessica Price, Austin Pruett, Cheyenne Pruett, Connor Harding and Brooklyn Harding and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother; Dortha Wood, father; Joseph Placher, dad; Adrian Van Dusen and one brother Donald Placher.

Sandra graduated from Sparland High School in 1960.  She worked at the Lacon Woolen Mill, Lacon Sewing Factory, Ziebarts in Peoria and then she managed different local gas stations.  She retired from the Chillicothe Circle K in 2005.

Sandra’s passion was her family. She loved watching all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren play all their sports that they loved.  She also enjoyed traveling with Russ and checking out new places.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service with burial of ashes will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11am at Chillicothe City Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to OSF Richard L.
