Rose M. Allen, 87, of Chillicothe died Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Evergreen Place.
Rose was born May 20th, 1928 in Lacon to Charles and Marie (Crouse) Hand. She married Thomas F. Allen on October 27, 1951 in Lacon. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Surviving are: one daughter, Janice (Larry) Tyree of Monmouth; one sister, Billie Forrest of Henry; and two grandchildren, Whitney and Hayley. She was preceded in death by one half-brother.
She had various jobs working for Dr. Fleagle, Geiger Hardware, and owned and operated Rose's Bloomers at the Dolph House. She and Tom were charter members of Arrowhead Country Club.
She will be remembered for her baking and homemade jelly.
Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Funeral and burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
