Robert Hart

Robert J. Hart, 64, of Chillicothe passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Bob was born on August 4, 1952 in Peoria, the son of Joseph D. and Mary L. (Colwell/Bireline) Hart. He married Elaine Edlen in June of 1974. Surviving are: two sisters, Genie (Robert) Hart-Johnson of Sneedville, TN, and Mary Ann Knight of Washington; three nieces, Kathleen Gauet of Owasso, OK, Amber Hayes of St. Louis, MO, and Tanya Ordaz of Chillicothe; one nephew, Michael (Tracie) Knight of Washington; and two step-brothers, Phillip (Pam) Bireline of Chillicothe, and Doug (Vivian) Bireline of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a nephew, Matthew Gauet, and a step-brother, Chris Bireline. Bob worked at and retired from Caterpillar, Inc. Bob was a member of Pearce Community Center. He enjoyed Dartball, eating out, watching westerns, antiquing, and collecting rocks and jewelry. Bob was a member of Rock Church in East Peoria. A funeral will be held for Bob at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Chillicothe City Cemetery.
