Richard Dale Kingsley, 84, of Chillicothe passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Unity Point Health-Methodist in Peoria.
He was born on October 11, 1931 to Mason and Eleanor (Firth) Kingsley. He married Marian Julia James on March 13, 1950 in Rome, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are his five children, Darlene Kumpf (Lyman Kimble), Barbara ( Stephen) Kingsley D'Ambrose, Ronald D. Kingsley, Janet (Brett) Bailey, Jeffrey D. Kingsley and one brother, John Kingsley of Topeka, KS. He has 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Richard retired in 1976 from CILCO as a journeyman lineman. He was an avid motorcyclist and certified BSA factory mechanic. He was a loving husband and father who lived fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycles.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the VFW Post 4999 Veteran's Memorial of Chillicothe.
