Rene Knapp

Rene M. Knapp, 72 of Chillicothe passed away on January 28, 2017 at his home. Rene was born on June 22, 1944 the son of Stanley and Emma (Yehl) Knapp. He married Delores L. Humble on January 11, 1975 in Jamestown, KY. He is survived by his wife Delores of Chillicothe; three children, Talley (David) Gentry of Bloomington, Rhonda (Tim) Regan of Aurora and Jason (Jayme) Knapp of Peoria; nine grandchildren, Gage, Kelsey, Jake, Nolan, Sidney, Dominic, Morgan, Ryan, Chelsea; and one sister, Ruth Smith of Elmwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Derek, and one brother, Fred. Rene retired from Caterpillar, Inc. after forty years as a pipe fitter. Rene enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and boating. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, who he loved dearly. Friends and relatives are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 5:00 PM at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Rev. Raymond Harrison will officiate. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Building Blocks for Kids.
