Pearl Wilson

Pearl M Wilson was born October 7, 1943, in Peoria, IL to Woodrow and Lexanna Hines Wilson. On Monday morning, June 8, 2020, she was called from earth to glory. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Aaron, Woodrow Jr., Oscar and Jesse Wilson and two sister: Lacie E. Wilson and Lowrine Denson.
Pearl last worked at the Peoria County Jail as Deputy Superintendent before retiring in 2003.
She is survived by her sisters: Moralee McLaurin of Chicago, Maxine Wilson-Jones of Peoria, and Kay Johnson, of Peoria, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pearl was a founding member of the Church of Living God in Peoria, IL. Growing up, she sang in the church choir, attended Sunday School as well as the Y.P.P.U. She received her education at Manual High School in Peoria, IL and received a nursing degree in Dixon, IL.
Pearl meant so much to us. She taught us, guided us and helped any way she could. She shared her love of traveling, shopping, and crafts. She collected coins and old money. She also had an affinity for angles.
