Louise A. Picl, 86, of Peoria passed away on Tuesday evening, November 21, 2017 at the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. She was born on October 4, 1931 in Goshen, IN the daughter of Eli and Mary A. (Barth) Wuthrich. She married Raymond L. Picl on January 8, 1956 in Morton. Surviving is her husband, Raymond of Peoria; her children, Sue (Jerry) DuBois of Morton, Sande (Russ) Peters of Peosta, IA and Rick (Melanie) Picl of Peoria Heights; grandchildren, Tony (Elizabeth) DuBois, Jami (Matt McClain) DuBois, Mallory Picl, Jessica Peters, Hannah Hernandez, Gabriella Hernandez, and Isabella Hernandez; a sister, Shirley (Milt) Grimm of Morton and a brother, Richard (Patti) Wuthrich of Lillian, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Edward Wuthrich and her son, Raymond Picl, Jr. Louise worked for Morton Pottery, Travelers Insurance and Peoria Heights Lumber Company. Louise was a member of the Kelly Avenue Home and School Association and the Peoria Heights Patriots Booster Club as a Board Member when her children were attending school. Louise was a member of the Peoria Heights Congregational Church, where she served as Deaconess, Treasurer of Women's Fellowship, Board of Directors for Sunburst Preschool, and Church Financial Secretary. Louise was an avid fan of Bradley Basketball and a member of the Bradley Braves Club. She was also an avid Cub Fan, 30 year member of the Chicago Cub Boosters of Central Illinois, where she served as membership chairman. She made annual trips to Mesa, AZ for Cubs Spring Training. Louise was the Queen of the 1954 first Morton Fall Festival, now known as Morton Pumpkin Festival. She had a passion for bowling with several 600 Series and she loved her annual trips to Longville, MN with her family cruising Long Lake on the Pontoon Boat. A funeral service will be held at the Peoria Heights Congregational Church on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4-7:00 pm at the Church and one hour prior to the service time. Burial will be held at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
