Douglas Blair

Douglas N. Blair, age 68, of Chillicothe passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at his home.

Doug was born on September 20, 1953 in Peoria the son of Clarence and Almeda (Ramey) Blair.  He married Shelly Jackson on April 7, 1978 in Peoria.

Surviving are his children, Matt (Jessica) Blair of Chillicothe and Adam (Mary) Blair of Foristell, MO; eight grandchildren, Matt Jr., Mason, Maddox, Griffin, Garrett, Riley, Hannah, and Jacob; and two sisters, Brenda (Kevin) Skaggs of Farmington and Barb Coon of Pekin. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brother.

Doug retired from the Dry Wall Finishers Union and also worked part-time at Matt’s P.C.  He was a life member of the Peoria Casting Club and was an avid fisherman and wood carver.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to the Peoria Casting Club Kiddie Fishing Derby, P.O. Box 426, Chillicothe, IL 61523.
