David Downs

David Wright Downs, 75, of Peoria, passed away at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria on Monday, November 23, 2015.
David was born to Emanual and Georgia (Huggins) Downs on October 28, 1940 in Peoria.
David worked for the United States Postal Service for many years, and retired in 2005. He also enjoyed reading and watching movies.
He is survived by his brother, Dick Downs of East Peoria, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and longtime friend, Dick Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 12:00pm. Reverend Adrian Garcia will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Memorials in honor of David may be made to the Spring Bay Fire Department.
