Betty Hayward

Betty June Hayward, age 81, of Chillicothe, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at her home.

Betty was born on June 24, 1938 in Bloomington, IL to Pearl Henry and Mary Louise (Myers) Marshall. She married Richard C. Hayward, Sr. on January 23, 1960 in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death in 1997. Also preceding her in death are her parents; her son, Randy; her daughter-in-law, Crystal; and six siblings.

Surviving are her sons, Richard C. Hayward, Jr. and Roland Hayward, both of Chillicothe; her daughter, Marilyn Patterson of Seneca, IL; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Connie Henderson of Decatur, IL.

Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services at this time. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
